Crafting worship is one of my most rigorous and demanding spiritual practices. Each week I collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create engaging and meaningful worship for our people. As a worship leader, my practice is to create a container for the holy to move and work in the lives of those gathered, including my own. 

I view worship as a participatory, embodied, community practice that is the heartbeat of congregational life. People have a variety of reasons for coming to worship, and all are valid. Worship is not a performance meant to dazzle, but a time to gather, inspire one another, make meaning, and wrestle with what it means to be fully alive in this world, in this moment. 

But what we do extends beyond the pulpit! Virtual programming became a necessary part of congregational life over these last few years, and being able to minister to a virtual world has become a vital skill. 

I'm proud of the ways we've all adapted and I'm excited for the ways ministry and congregational life will continue to expand!
