Professional Experience

Unitarian Universalist ministers are held to a high standard, and for good reason. Completing our theological education, undergoing psychological evaluation, working through fellowships and internships, and participating in a rigorous formation process, equips us with the skills and insights to be leaders with integrity.

Secular Experience

My undergraduate degree is in Psychology and my first career goal was to become a licensed therapist. I worked in Social Services for 10 years prior to seminary. I provided residential and community direct support to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. After completion of my degree I was promoted to Program Manager within the same agency. As a PM I provided holistic case management to those same individuals (medical, residential, funding, quality control) and supervised the staff and managers that worked with the clients.

I then switched subfields to Mental Health services and began working with families, adults, children, and teens providing mental health case management. I worked with the most marginalized providing both case management and mental health services. I advocated for families and children in court, worked with teachers and school systems to tailor educational needs, worked with clients on coping skills and anger management, worked closely with other state providers to ensure that clients were receiving the support they needed to meet their objectives.
